IT Field Technician

About InterDataLink: We're a NYC-based managed IT services provider serving small and mid-sized businesses across the NY/NJ metro since 2009. We hire engineers and technicians who care about the work, communicate clearly, and treat clients well. Our team includes senior network engineers, cloud architects, cybersecurity specialists, and field technicians.

The IT Field Technician role is hybrid (mix of remote, on-site at our office, and client visits as appropriate). Reports to the Director of Engineering.

The Role

Responsibilities

  • Travel to client sites across Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, and Northern NJ
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and software issues on-site
  • Install and configure desktops, laptops, servers, network equipment
  • Provide white-glove service to executive and end-user clients
  • Document work, update tickets, communicate clearly with team
  • Some after-hours coverage on rotation
You

Requirements

  • 2+ years in field IT, helpdesk, or technical support
  • Comfortable with Windows, Mac, basic networking
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to drive to client sites
  • Customer-facing presence โ€” professional, clear communicator
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification preferred
  • Lift up to 40 lbs (server rack work)
Compensation

$55,000 - $75,000 + mileage reimbursement

Plus health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, paid certifications, and flexible schedule.
