Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing IT team. This role is pivotal in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available network and infrastructure environments that support our business operations. You will work across physical and virtual environments, leading infrastructure improvements and collaborating with both internal and external teams to deliver reliable IT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance and availability using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar to ensure high levels of uptime and efficiency.
• Oversee data center operations including server installations, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage management (SAN/NAS).
• Ensure security best practices are applied in all infrastructure layers, including implementing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Support cloud integration projects, including hybrid cloud setups using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Troubleshoot complex network or system issues and provide escalation support for incidents that affect business continuity.
• Manage and maintain core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Document network diagrams, systems configurations, and operational procedures to support ongoing maintenance and audits.
• Lead infrastructure upgrade projects, hardware refreshes, and participate in long-term capacity planning.
• Collaborate with application teams, developers, and external vendors to support technology rollouts and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise network and infrastructure systems.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs).
• Strong experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Juniper networking hardware.
• Proficiency in managing Microsoft Windows Server environments and virtual machines using VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform) is a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and change management processes.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
